On Wednesday, October 5, the Bible Study from Kingwood Senior Village will join Fr. Elias at Phoenicia Specialty Foods, Downtown, for an excursion and lunch. The group will arrive between 11:00 AM- 11:30 AM. All welcome to meet us there!
A series of Adult Education Classes are being offered through the Eparchy of Phoenix and the Department of Evangelization and Religious Education . All adult education classes are taught by the Clergy of the Eparchy of Phoenix, for free though the Fuze online platform. Fuze is an online webinar system which allows for video and audiosharing on Windows, Mac or ISO devices, or calling in through a toll-free phone.

Our St. John’s Church Shoppe has been freshened up with some new items from Russia including a large collection of silver crosses and medals and beautiful worry beads made of natural stone. Fr. Elias has organized a pilgrimage to Mexico City and the Shrine of the Theotokos of Guadalupe for mid-October. The Liturgy Intention Book is open and Liturgy requests and intentions are being accepted until January 31, 2017. Dates are given on a first-come-first-serve basis. If you have special dates or anniversaries, don’t wait until closer to the date, as that day may not be available.
If you are interested in reading in the Divine Liturgy, or serving (as an adult or child) or being a greeter, welcoming visitors (and potentially new parishioners) to St. John’s, please speak with Fr. Elias or Deacon Andrew.
